Madesimo is in the Province of Sondrio and about 110KM north of Milan and borders Switzerland. It is about and hours easy drive from Menaggio or Varenna on Lake Como. Bergamo is the closest airport and used most frequently.

For Giumello & Paglio which is 33 Km from Lecco, two skiing areas are close to each other where you can cross-country skiing is more appropriate.
