| Madesimo is in the
Province of Sondrio and about 110KM north of Milan
and borders Switzerland. It is about and hours
easy drive from Menaggio or Varenna on Lake Como.
Bergamo is the closest airport and used most frequently.
- Madesimo is a small family resort. Many skiers
return year after year to enjoy the resort's unpretentious
and friendly atmosphere, it has good frequent
snow conditions and good variety of well groomed
pistes.
Madesimo is a well organised small resort with
modern chairlifts and gondolas and the ski school
are all in easy walking distance of the hotels.
Runs are uncluttered mid-week even completely
vacabt and skiers will appreciate Madesimo’s
excellent value mountain restaurants and bars.
The village has a number of activities: ice skating,
a sports centre, cross country skiing and a 69km
panoramic skidoo trail that leads as far as the
swiss border. Après-ski is low key and
family style, centering around the hotels and
some bars that are popular with italians during
the weekends. Not for the crazy and all nighters.....
